Those last week were a different Thompson, he had those cattle on pasture at WL. I think there was only one other load from this area through Valley this year.
We kept ours for yrlings so didn't go down. Say hello to the Raffans for me.
 
Yes we did learn quite a lot.I haven't been to a presentation or seminar yet that I didn't learn something.Most of the information is valued proportionate to the cost to attend as is most things in life.This one wasn't cheap so we learned a lot but the frustrating thing was to find out how much we don't know.Fortunately there is lots of reference material to refresh us on the ideas and principles as well as a lot of support from other alumni that have moved ahead on their businesses.We will be reviewing things over the winter and then will likely start implementing at least part of the plan in the spring.The hardest thing for me personally was to let go of the things I thought to be so long enough to accept another idea or point of view.If you can do this then it will be the best money you have spent in this decade if not your life.
 
Right you are. Dave says that most ranchers start out by saying that the title of his seminars is an oxymoron.Even the real diehard traditionalists can learn enough to call it Ranching For :wink: Not So Much Loss.
 
I am pretty basic at this and mostly self taught so I can't cut and paste or even drag the smiley faces to the right of this page for appropriate effect but if you google ranch management consultants it will get you there and they will set you free.
 
C T , I was just curious if it was in Edmonton and if Dave or Pete or someone else taught. Was there an EL meeting at the same time?
