I've started calving, and so far it has gone really well. The weather seems to be straightening back out
.
The dogs and I Scourguarded the first sort. Mostly heifers were in the group.
Hungry heifers...when aren't they???
.
Bringing a calver in. The other heifers were telling her what was in store.
It only took me a good decade, and who knows how many miles running around my night lot to figure out how to set the panels up   . This view is looking towards the direction I bring them from.
Calf slumber party
. It snowed about 15 inches, and was pretty cold, so these newborns got to stay inside for the night.
The other calves were just fine during the storm in the shelter
.
The hearse
. Just short of 27,000 miles.
Today looked much brighter
.
The neighbor's bull came to visit last spring for a ten hour stretch  . I aborted the four I knew got bred, but missed four others.
