Canadian border could close to American live cattle again

There are rumors floating around tonight that could see the Canadian border closed to US cattle again. Over recent days it has been brought to the attention of many in Canada that the food safety system in the US could have holes in it. There are numerous reports of cover ups and misplaced brain samples that could have proved if these animals had BSE or not.

Don't you think that would be a little excessive at this point? Maybe a better way to start would be to have a team from CFIA and a team from the CCA go down and inspect things.
Shutting the boder down over heresay and speculation sounds too much like an R-CALF style play to suit me, and I don't want to be associated with that in any way, shape, or form.
