Just got back from Medicine Hat-Ty missed the short go in broncs but got a couple covered. It was a bit of a drawing contest but that's rodeo. He did have the most spectacular buck off-Thumper's Candy of Flewelling's jerked his rein out of his hand and launched him out of the back of his saddle. We stayed with S.S.A.P and her husband on the way down and had a good visit and saw some very good paint horses. There were sure some good cowboys and cowgirls at the deal from every province.

He was alot furthur up in the air before he started to come down-but he tipped his hat to the horse. About five minutes after this a big wind came through and blew the roof off one of the fair buildings so lots going on.

Who's that feller in the big blue shirt and white hat behind the chutes? Looks kind of familiar. :???:

Welll, maybe just the front part of the shirt is big?

He seems to be enjoying the day. :D

Great pix by the way. :-)

There's several illustrious characters in that picture lol. Before I forget the pickup men this weekend were awesome-the boys were in good hands all during and after their rides. Kevin Girlitz is even a lefty but still throws a mean loop.

Yup, a good pickup man is worth his or her weight in gold, ain't they? :-)

Canadian Cowgirl the 2007 Saddle Bronc and Bull Riding titles are going home to Manitoba. I heard through the grapevine that Tyrell Larsen won both of them. It couldn't happen to a better kid he's sticky as they come but not braggy about it.

It's all good win or lose-Keiffer Watt and Ryan Fink from Alberta can hoe it out of a bronc too-I like kids who don't monkey up and just try and get by. Luke Creasy from Alberta is an awesome bareback rider too.

Ty isn't even my kid and I wait with baited breath every weekend for your rodeo post, first to know hes ok{ya,ya I'm female} then to know he rode like a man, looks like he made both the "rides" good for him :)

Mrs Greg you almost got invaded by some Saskatchewanites on Sunday but wasn't sure exactly where you lived off 56 highway. We camped at the sis-in-laws at Ohaton. Ty drew kind of tough his first horse was a chute sour piece of crap-he took her and she run off and caught him with a half a buck-he spurred her then she ran again and caught him with his feet back-the next day the kid couldn't get out on her so he got a reride. his second horse was awesome but bucked him off. The third horse he covered but they gave him a reride-he took it and rode that horse too but didn't quite score enough to make the short go. It was a great rodeo and Medicine Hat treated the kids very well. Next year it's in Williams Lake I can't wait for that one.

You went from Medicine Hat to Ohaton????You could have either taken the road just past Daysland or Killam and ended up not too far from our place. We're just off hwy 53.
I'm glad you guys had a great time....Williams Lake, now that would be cool, great ranch country

Keifer Watt and Luke Creasy are hometown boys here Northern. Keifer's dad, Tom Watt, was Lakeland Champ a time or two. I won't say how many years ago that was, but he was and still is a helluva hand. Them boys have got tough in their blood. They aren't any bigger than a bobcat, and built like one, too. Luke and his brother Clay are both good bronc riders, kinda in their blood too. Their Mom barrel-raced for years and their Dad's a fine roper.
