I know I'm gonna get ribbed for this, but I've had chapped lips for over a month and a half now and it's gettin' perty tiresome. I haven't tried rubbing my lips in my horses a$$. I quit lickin' them on my own without that treatment. I've tried Burt's Bees, Carmex, chapstick. My grandson has cradle cap perty bad also. Daughter has not been able to alleviate this either with lotions or usual treatments. Wife was researchin' and said we could both have some type of yeast infection. Suggested I put Monostat 7 on my face. The horse's a$$ treatment is soundin' better all the time. I'm gonna have a time holdin' that little fella up there and holdin' the horse's tail at the same time.

Have you tried Bag Balm on your sore kisser??? If not, give it a try...it does not wear off as easily as chapstick!! As for the baby, have mama get some Melaleuca (or tea tree oil) oil from someone.....PM me if she cannot find some as I have extra.....my boys "inherited" a type of cradle cap (sebhorreic dermatitis) from their FATHER'S side of the family (hair so danged thick that most shampoos simply do not penetrate) and we have had to use tea tree oil shampoos or prescription shampoos...the tee tree oil (melaleuca) does not sting or burn, however, nearly as much as many of the prescription shampoos do and it REALLY WORKS!! Just rub a few drops of the pure oil onto the scalp and rub gently in circular motion with a "baby brush"...within a few days.....TAAADAAA!!!!!

Palmer's makes some great stuff, lotins and chapstick like deal that works GREAT for chapped lips.

Could be a yeast thing, it's not just a 'woman thing'. AZO makes some pills that you can take for yeast infections. Try that might be easier to deal with than the Monostat

But Bag Balm cures everything except cancer and hang nails!!

I use the Melaleuca chapsticks all the time. They are called Sunshades Lip Balm and come in vanilla, mountain mint, and pina coloda flavors. Some folks claim they are expecially good for treating cold sores. A Melaleuca dealer can get them for you. Better deal in a 3-pak (order sku #7911) You can mix and match flavors. My current catalog also shows Harvest Berry flavor available while supply lasts.

Perscription-diflucan- it is for systemic yeast infection..They will tell you it won't work on the skin. It will. It is expensive, but well worth it . Go to your Dr

turned out chapped lips and cradle cap were related. The little boy got a rash on his legs and back like the cradle cap. My lips were dryin' out toward my chin and in my mustache. Some kind of fungus like athletes foot but not exactly athletes foot. Tinactin was used and both of us are gettin' immediate relief, almost gone overnight. I still like tha bag balm better than any of the other chapped lip stuff. Thanks for all the help from everyone.
