I just heard today that Charlie McRae-- Big Dry Angus, Jordan MT died last night... I think Charlie was about 86 years old- a fine cattle and horse breeder of old...Many of the best ranch mares I owned over the years were sired by or had bloodlines tracing back to a stud he raised/owned- Charlie Duster...

My condolences to Brent (Big Dry) , Jack and the whole McRae family...Definitely the passing of another Montana angus and horse breeder legend.....

I never met him but he was introduced at Fellman"s sale in Jordan the spring after their bull won Denver.

Our condolences go to the family. We've had some fine bulls from the McRae Big Dry Angus Ranch.

I never knew the Big Dry Ranch. When i was a small fry breeders in the 60s Big Dry was a good name in Angus. In 1999 I was able to get a Big Dry Reg bred heifer. I kept all her heifers still have them today 2009. Several calved this week they are real big fry cattle. Thanks Big Dry
