Just be glad you ain't a man and get them on the jewels.

I can forget going to church when I got a dose of them!

Put some fingernail polish over them. It takes away the itch and kills them off PDQ. I had about 10 around each of my ankles a couple summers ago. I nearly went into a psychadelic fit.

Your immune now....LOL I usta be "immune" if ya wanna call it that. We'd go out somewhere, buildin fence, or whatever, Mr Lilly would get em bad, and i'd not get a one. Got my first one a year or so ago.....now two......Think maybe I should spray my britches legs with OFF from now on when I'm gonna be out piddlin around. Thing is tho, this time I don't remember bein anywhere there was tall grass. We DON"T have tall grass now..lol still in a drought. Only place I know of was the corrals when we trimmed the heifers sunday afternoon. And I'm out there every day. Grass around the chute is maybe 4 inches tall LOL

A chigger is the larva of a spider mite. They burrow under the skin and develop over the next week. By the time they start, itching it is too late. They are under the skin and nothing will get to them. The more you scratch the deeper they burro and the movement makes them itch even more. Once under the skin about the only relief is clear fingernail polish. Put it on thick and don't scratch.
You can try Clorox early or if you think, you have been in them. Off or anything with Deet will help prevent them. The best prevention for chiggers and ticks is to wear lace up boots with britches tucked in the boot and deet sprayed around the top of the boot. Also, tuck in your shirt and spray deet around the belt line. For neck and arms just spray well.
Now how do I know so much about Chiggers? I worked my way through school as a land surveyor in southeast Georgia along the Okefenokee Swamp where I spent lots of time fighting chiggers, ticks, yellow jackets, snakes and gaters. I also learned that a land surveyor must be gluten for punishment.

I did dab a lil vinegar on the spots, didn't take a bath in it....ya know...I wouldn't wanna run Mr Lilly outta the bedroom with the smell LOL It did seem to help, maybe it was at the stage that it was gonna stop itchin, or maybe the vinegar helped, I dont know, I just know I'm glad they aren't itchin today!!! Woo hoo

Good. I bet it was the vinegar that helped. And I never meant for
you to take a bath in it!!! OH MY GOSH!!

Just dab it on. You can't use too much. Vinegar does a lot of good
things. If you ever have clothing mildew, just wash them again with vinegar added to the water. About a cup per washload will do it.

Put it on mosquito bites, sunburn, etc.

I have a salve I use that works on a lot of stuff, even diaper rash.
It is called Boroleum and you have to get it from a place in New York
that doesn't take credit cards. They are really cool to deal with. The
salve lasts a long time and I think the price is $8.95. It even works
on pimples. Dries them right up. Works on any kind of burn, cut, scratch, etc. We have used it for years.

I aint ever tried it but, I heard you can disolve a couple aspirins, make a paste ,and put it on bites and stings like that for itch/pain relief ?..........good luck
