But not so cold that the tractor shouldn't start. We are at -16C/3F. Block heater doesn't seem to be more than warm. Blue must not like cold. Gonna buy red next time yup.

Cows are up at the gate waiting, waiting . . .

I love June and July ain't even too bad!
 
So after I fixed the broken battery cable clamp, the cows got fed! Couldn't figure that one out until I went to boost the tractor and the cable slid off the battery post.

The cold weather will find your weak spots.
 
-30F here this morning I waited until 2 pm to feed but thats my normal time anyhow. Haveing Machinery and cows 12 miles away it seams everything works better after the day warms up some. Been hauling the skidsteer back and forth loading hay so thats at home here and pluged in. I also park it in my shop. By next winter I'll have a building at the other place. I figure even with a wood stove stoked up good before I leave each day should help alot.

this was DEc 22, that big kerosene /#1 , #2 fuel heater warmed mine right up.
 
Hey Jody I know a guy who did that with his car but he set it at the front and covered everything up when he came back outside his plastic front end was a puddle on the ground. But it started.

glad you got a easy fix, though turning wrenches in the cold is no fun...
 
A parachute is a must in colder climates. Even just covering the machine up while it's still warm makes a huge difference for the next moring. A decent Herman Nelson running on Kerosene pointed under it puffs the parachute out into a nice cozy and inexpensive shop.

-23C here this morning, 10 below F. Might plug the tractor in right after breakfast. That's about as cold as its been here in a year or two. Got almost a foot of fresh snow yesterday to go with it.

Long-range calling for rain beginning of next week. :shock:
