After Oklahoma laid an egg last night I'm affraid that K State fans are going to be dissapointed even if they go undefeated this year. Notre Dame only has USC as their hardest game left. If they finish unbeaten they will jump K State just because of who they are even if their wins aren't as good as K State.

Also I think Landry Jones lost a lot of money by coming back to college this year. He was projected as the third qb in last years draft, and looked pretty average last night from what I saw. Didn't get in until right before half, but according to the score didn't look to impressive.
 
this year has killed Jones' NFL stock for sure...

I think KSU will get screwed if they win out. I just know it. that is why I gotta hope Notre Lame, Oregon or Bama all lose a game. Oregon should, Bama might, but it looks like the golden gomers will go undefeated, thus booting KSU....
 
As a life long Husker fan, tell ya what, to say I was down on this team following the embarrassing loss at tOSU was an understatement, almost ready to call for Pelini's head. I gave them up for dead last week after going down 12 at NW, but they nutted up and pulled it out. Get past Michigan St. next week and Nebraska just may win out. Unbelievable.

BTW, jigs, congrats on a great KSU season to date.
 
KSU is going to have to keep the petal to the floor. I think USC will take Notre Lame, but you never know. The Irish are always rated 10 spots higher than they deserve.

I don't know, Jiggsy, I think you might have a team this year. Damn, I hate to admit it, but I'm pulling for you. Don't let that out .....

I really like the way these kids have gelled this year.... no stars, just team. I like that! ESPNU said today Saban fears KSU more, because we are like Bama, methodical, error free, grinder team, that makes you beat yourself....


we have a long road to go, still games to be won, but if they put a flashy Oregon team ahead od us, I will cry foul...they play a pathetic conference ... Notre Lame looks good, but weak schedule...

in 1998, the Big 12 Title game COST us a trip to the national title game...now, not having that game might cost us a trip... ironic!
 
After USC lost this weekend as well you figure they will probably have 4 losses if ND beats them. You figure Oregon will beat them at least once. Therefore that won't be a very quality win for ND. The more I think about it if KSU can pound a couple more teams big I think ND won't be able to pass them. Oregon is a different story though. I was listening to espn radio and everybody want to see bama and Oregon. If they keep putting up points I think KSU will be hosed
 
The computer polls are what is keeping KSU second in the BCS Poll. Three different computer polls have them ranked #1, with the Coaches & Harris Poll have them below Oregon.

KSU better not stumble. I'd like to see LSU beat Bama this weekend, then KSU smash Oregon in the mouth in the BCS game.
 
I heard two guys that actually thought if LSU won out and won the sec title game they could jump ahead of ND and K State they weren't boneheads either they were respected college annalist
