all the crap you lay on Snyder for his cheduling, would you care to defend the Huskers schedule this season??? lay it out and tell me the reason you are playing those powerhouses.... you try to explain why NU schedules teams because people are affraid to play them, and KSU is just lining up creampuffs.....

Jigs, EVERYBODY comments on Snyder's scheduling! No matter where you're at in the country, if the topic is cup-cake schedules, Snyder's name will come up.
We're playing Va. Tech - I think they were rated #5 at one time last year. We just got done with a series with USC, ever heard of them?

It's a truly inspirational story and very much a parralel to what happened to a friend of mine and his youngest son.
Back in the mid 80's thru the late 90's myself and a loose group of 5 or 6 other fellas were very involved with youth wrestling here in central Colo. One of the best of all of us died unexpectedly last winter while Elk hunting. Poor guy was whip thin and tougher than a boot but just had a bad ticker.
His youngest son managed to win the 3A state championship this year and for sure gave it all up to his Dad on the mat at the end of the match.
It was a great and moving tribute to one of the best guys I ever coached with and against.
So yes I for sure know what you mean. That's the way we raised our kids in the wrestling program and one of the reasons my son voluntered to coach some High School wrestling when he was stationed in Omaha. It's also why I am still so pi$$ed off about the way he was treated up there.
I always taught him to try to give back to the community wherever he was and in return they gave him constant crap about being from Colo.
Go figure.

Let's get real, 3-way. If you're from Colorado, you'll take crap in Nebraska same as a Nebraskan would take it on Colorado - same as an Okie in Texas, same as a Jayhawk in Manhattan, etc.... The way that you handle yourself determines how much of it you get.
I lived in Omaha for 10 years. Being from west NE, I heard every sheep joke 50 times, every gravy joke, etc.... I laughed it off and sent it back.
