thanks,i actualy had the two top selling simmental bulls .both 3/4 brothers .lots of positive feedback as well.they both went to rose ranch replacing charolais.stu was up today and we branded them probably go to work on tuesday.as to where i,ve been ive been going constantly since we started calving dealing with cold weather issues then it was getting the bulls ready for williams lake this prolonged arctic conditions made things challenging
well he sorted himself off because at 14 months he needed 34cm and after a swift kick with my size 15 boot he was only 31.2 ,where my others were 37.5 to 41.he was 1530 #and had gained 4#aday on feed my others averaged 3.5 .it was a bit of a shock to come home with a fat wallet and not have to worry about marketing bulls this spring .i see you bought 2 angus .were you there in person?
thats what i figured,i totaly agree with you on that one we are overdue in the luck department when it comes to selling weaned calves in this area.i think the industry would be better off if more calves were backgrounded at home, and sold at 700 #or heavier.of course not every body can or is willing to go that route
