My biggest purebred cow and my smallest second calver both calved the first day of calving. I was about to shoot all my moderate cattle and go buy some framers when I got thinking-the purebred cow was purchased and had 60 days extra postpartum before breeding. She's not huge just big at my place so looking forward to when she calves next year after another season of benign neglect-her bull calf is off Walk proud of Dylan's so he'll be on the grass test next year. The May calvers are about to bust loose at the Waldorf so things should be busy for the next while. It's going good so far lots of bouncy Angus calves out there.
