Had an uncle that had an Ag Engineering degree. He ended up Working for USA Foreign service. Asked him what he got paid, he said" one dollar less a paycheck then the Ambassador> He liked Afghanistan and the old irrigation system. He was teaching them how to fix them and used them again. Turkey was rough. He hated the Philippian's. Jamica, they got Mom and dad to come stay for a month, Dd said there was a ranch there 700 acres and ran over 700 cows, that they treated for insects and parasites almost monthly. My Aunt and Uncle took my grandparents around the world. They enjoyed Israel. That was neat. Sure awesome to see other parts of the world I'll never be able to visit. Thank you for the link
You have to face into the wind to live there, their iron ain't for show. I've been there. The farm I worked on there once had a whole flock off sheep disappear in one night.Must be a rough bunch.......all packin iron.......
