Is anyone in the upper midwest that piled corn on the ground having trouble with corn deteriorating? The rain and snow we had earlier on ours is causing problems. We needed to deliver now but it took on lots of moisture.

I piled about 5000 bushels of barley this year, first time I've done that and it has been the wettest year ever. It has deteriorated some but I am grinding out of it and selling the odd single axle load to the neighbor, just enough to keep it in check.

I always read your posts, hope everything but the corn and too much moisture, meets with your approval there at home. I've had alot of very cold weather earlier, but now its fairly nice. I need to be feeding corn, but I'm too old to shovel it off, and too cheap to buy a corn feeder. So I make do with what I have. How did your cattle do this fall?
