Cow Liberation Army - hilarious animated short

Help Support Ranchers.net:

It was just a funny...a cartoon....PERIOD!!! This is the second time, once w/ a joke I posted, that this OVER REACTION has happened.
That was NOT an overreaction. OK I admit I was snapping at someone for a DIFFERENT reason. Thought it would be dropped BUT I guees NOT hmmmmm If you want to say anything else about that matter PLEASE PM me and we can descuss it there.

Yes it is a joke and I can see where some are getting upset. Yes there is a movement to get kids off meat. I have seen the billboards saying Mom is Killing them by feeding them ham & Cheese sandwitch. I have seen the radical movenment some of these groups take and how far they will go. I had to spend 4 Years with them getting my Environmental Educator Certificate. You will never know how many heated arguments I got into. Hail I had one man who after 3 different classes made sure which class I was in before he signed up cuz he said he was going to hit me. I was Dumb for believing in conservation NOT total hands off of the wilderness.

Can we please step back and stop reading things into post on these boards unless its Poltical? We are all adults and all of us need the support and laughter provided by the other members on this site. If you think you dont need anyone on here prey tell why did you join?
I for one am going to keep on having fun and enjoying the company of the members here and for the few whom have tried to hurt me and have decided I am a monster well yall its YOUR loss.

MsSage....I'm not trying to pick a fight w/you... I was just using that as a comparison...as I didn't use your name. If I'd wanted to pick a cat fight I'd used your name.... See the difference??? Some people now reading might not have been aware of what happened with that thread, that is why I stated it as a comparison.

Who's called/decided you're a monster??? Not me.

Parents are killing their kids by feeding the all the junk food!! Look around you next time you go to the store...any store...people are HUGE. It's not just a few it's everyone and it's getting to be a medical and social issue now. It's now just eating beef....it's eating all that sugar....all that starch....etc. The videos are not putting one pound on these people.

After subjecting myself to the torture of watching the whole thing again, to see if my humor level was not up to snuff the first time, I again found it to be totally stupid and downright disgusting. I am sure Broke Back Mountain would affect me the same way, but I do not plan to find out.

Ranching and the cowboy way of life have long been held in high esteem. It is as American as motherhood and apple pie, and as such deserves a certain reverence. This insipid "cows with guns" video desecrates this honor, as does the perverted movie Broke Back Mountain. One would only hope America had not fallen so low.

By the way, how does a "boy cow" p*** through its teat? :? :???: Plumb pathetic. :x  :!:

I confess after watching Bugs Bunny I never killed any more coyotes by dropping an anvil off a cliff on them and I totally boycotted ACme products-the sheer brutality to the noble coyote scarred me forever lol.

If you like satire Greg you'll probably be able to stand it-must be awful going through life worried that everybody and everything is out to get you-maybe if the rancher's unknotted their shorts and laughed at it people would realize it's just a silly cartoon-by squawking about it they are just helping validate the perception that beef is wrong.

Thing is we in the beef business cannot ignore things like the Meatrix. click on it and go to that site and tell me that it is not anti beef, anti meat. That is where this video came from a couple of years ago. They were pushing to get their materials into the schools to use as teaching aids in science classes. We checked with our school pricipal and yes they did receive those materials from Meatrix but no one had used them or even looked into what it was all about. After further review, the materials went into the circular file

Up in Canada if a child gets one taste of our yummy beef they're are hooked for llife-no cartoon can sway them. Kids are remarkably well adapted at separating fantasy from reality a skill that some adults seem to lose. Let them watch it-sit down with them and explain it's b.s. You hide it from them they start thinking -if adults are scared of it maybe there is something to it.

Most of the people who see this stuff don't know the difference to explain it properly. Remember we are only 2% of the US right now and I would imagine ranchers are highly outnumbered in Canada as well.

The anti-meat people are very clever and they do all kinds of things to get into peoples/kids minds. It really doesn't affect you R2, so I am sure you aren't aware of what goes on.

We just can't be too careful. Sad, but that's the way it is. There isn't anything funny about it to us who care for our industry and our cattle.
We really do have feelings for the cows in our care.

(Except for maybe some EXT's!!!)

You feel the same way about porn?

YES I did and what I saw was it was PRO Family Farm. If they were anti beef why did they list the farmers in my area who raise cattle~goats~sheep~chickens~pigs~and rabbits(eating kind)
I see where animal rights activists need to be controled and people need to be educated as to how farming truly is. Why do you think I have begun to use the providerPals ? I want the kids I teach to know the truth.
I have seen some farms around here sellout and farther east a BIG company farm has taken the place of the family farms. I have driven past it on the way to the beach. The only way I knew it was a "farm" was I had been told a couple months prior. SO I was looking for it. Metal buildings, no yard. But then I guess they are only chickens and owned by Tyson.
I have and will continue to stand for and speak in favor of the family farmer.
I can think of NO ONE on this board who is not in support of every farmer or rancher on this continent.

I wonder if the people that were so outraged by this cartoon got as mad when Rush Limbaugh said the way he lost weight was by cutting out red meat? Somehow I doubt it.
