Sat nite in Devine, Texas, the Cowboy church had free hot dogs, hamburgers, and watermelon slices for all who would gather at the local rodeo arena.
I had the priveledge to watch Mr. Pau Daily of Trout, LA demonstrate his form of ministry. Paul sets up a round pen, has two wonderful youngsters, ride good Quarter Horses around with the American Flag, followed by the Christian Flag, presented with the same respect. Then he explains that in his years as a horse trainer, he was kinda wild and rebellious, and one day he realized his life was not fullfilling. His wife and kids were off at work and school respectively, and he was working a horse in the round pen as usual. He heard an inner voice say "You see that horse?" He said "Of course I see that horse!" "What's he doing?" Well he's acting ornery, mean and tuff, and not doing what I want him to." "Paul, that's what you been doing with me!"
Well the story goes on, and he explains it all during the next hour and 45 minutes, as he gets this wild horse, gently under control, to the point of saddelin and riding the pony by the end of that time. Then he has an open altar call in the round pen at the end.
Man, that was wonderful a church service as I've ever witnessed.
I never met Paul before, and I'm not tootin his horn for profit. but he has a website at www.wildhorseministries.com. He records each service on video and sells the dvd or vhs of his work in the round pen at the services. He travels the whole U.S. with this, so you could probably book him for your area. I'm not working for Paul, I'm just sayin.
