O.k . . . I appreciate that this is a little blunt, but how are you going to find someone out there who is interested in horses and who is single?

I am a single mom in my 40's and I am tired of not having a good man in my life. My daughter (11) loves horses as I do, so our spare time is spent hanging at the barn doing horse stuff. From 4-H, to Pee-Wee Rodeo, to a little bit of queening with her. Mom loves doing some schooling shows, loves to ride trail, but really wants to be a part of the team penning, sorting fun that is out there.

I am just as comfortable in a cocktail dress as I am in my Wranglers, as with a good pinot as with a Bud Lite. Would like to find a old-fashioned renaissance "farmer tan" man who likes to do it all too.

Appreciate anyone's thoughts and/or suggestions. Thank you.
:-)

Anna,

I appreciate wanting the best for your daughter.....But...The whole rich qualification..Maybe you should look into a persons soul before thier checkbook?

I am not trying to be cruel or shallow here, but every single one of the last men I have dated (for long term), I have had to support (financially, emotionally) . . . when is it my turn? It would sure be nice to feel like a piece of "eye candy" once in awhile and have the check picked up for dinner.
:-)

That is very understandable. I see ladies chosing guys they need to support all the time......I always shake my head...I guess I'd say that those guys lacked charachter...And money isn't an indicator of charachter.

I was not trying to be mean in any way.....There have been many on here that have shared stories of someone making a very bad choice the first time, but patience found thier soulmate and brought it to them.....

I've got a cousin who is rancher/cowboy......likes blondes.....but he's not got a lot of money! Nice truck and smart dog and some good horses!

No joke..... PM me and I'll send ya his email. He just asked me last nite to find him a gal.

Now I've seen everything here.

Lest we all judge too quickly, it has been proven that those who had an agranged marrige, had a lot less divorces. Tho' that probably says more about their morals and not believing in divorce, than anything else. My point, maybe this is the way for this lady to find someone. And at least she is being honest.

When my wife and I were courting, I told her if she married me, that we would most likely never live in a town or have much in the way of personal things. That most of our money would have to go towards a ranch and running that ranch. That we'd live relatively poor most of our life and probably be wealthy when we died. By golly, I ain't lied to her yet!

But I like this ladies approach and if I knew of any single men out there, I would sure send them her way. If they don't like her or it doesn't work out, that is their business.

I do know of a couple of single guys on here. Maybe they will pm her. :D

Go to the Everything Else Heading, and you will find the directions there. It will tell you how to post a picture.

How about a picture of you, and your prospective suitor could post a picture of his bank balance. lol. Just kidding. I see nothing wrong with you looking on the internet if you are careful. I know a couple guys that would be great, but I think they might be confirmed batchelors. One of them told me he didn't think their operation could stand two SIL's.

What's a SIL?

I am happy to exchange photos with someone who is interested, but first I should let you know that I am not interested in seeing someone's checkbook balance. Guys who are ranchers, or guys who are really into horses in team penning, sorting, team roping . . . you know who you are. You know that you live that lifestyle. Either you do or you don't.

In less than 24 hours, I have already received one "creepy" email from someone who read this post that wanted me to entertain his fantasies--ewh! I am not into sending emails back and forth to some guy to get his ____ off. Yuck!

I am sincere in my efforts . . . this is an honest attempt to try to meet someone who also wants someone significant in their life . . . that's all.

Welcome aboard!!!! I admire your efforts to find a fellow. There are a couple nice single guys on here, and I definitely wish you luck.

That said, I'm sorry that there is such a low life in our "ranchers.net web-family" to send you harrassing emails/PM's. I hope you take Red Robins' advice and expose them, or better yet report their behavior to Macon our wonderful webmaster.

Good luck, and again welcome to the ranchers.net family.

Cheers---

TTB

Thanks for the support guys! Yes, the creep was reported to the webmaster, along with copies of what he emailed. Yuck!

SIL--now that's a good one . . . I never would have guessed that.

So now that you all know that I am sincere, get on your thinking caps . . . who knows a nice guy that just hasn't met that nice gal yet. (And, maybe he is a little sick of you trying to fix him up--LOL.) Maybe he's always complaining that the good ones are gone, or maybe he's just lonely and doesn't know where to begin to look--after all, I didn't.

Here's a brief description about me w/o getting too personal: 5'8" (w/o boots), blonde semi-long hair (past shoulders), Scandinavian (Finnish to be exact), wear a 30x36" wrangler (or a size 4-6 low-rise jean), college degree but also life-educated, executive assistant by trade, have clean house (but not anal about it), like to cook if there is more than 2 people, pretty liberal about most things unless they are illegal. There are also those affection things that are pretty important to me. (i.e.: if you love someone, show it)

So . . . help me out.
:)
