For those of you that have been around ranchers.net awhile,
you might remember the pictures I posted of our cat, McGoo.
He was quite a character and very photogenic. Here's one of
McGoo all grown up and settled down.

Here he is in 2005

And here he is today:

Here is a cowhorse--with the cows, of course.
I just coudn't resist taking a picture of him; he is so slick and shiney.

And here is the 16 year old cow. That's her calf lying down beside
her. He's a really good calf.

Cow pictures taken from inside my vehicle as I passed by.

I apologize if these pictures transferred in a large size. I don't know how to resize them. But I'm open for suggestons!

Everything is looking Good, FH. Thanks for the pics. That's a good looking cowhorse.

I'm sure the cat is saying. " Dang it woman, get that camara outta my face!"

Really some fine soggy cows there fh...... You should be proud, they'd bring a dandy price anywhere in the country...........

I remember that blue eyed kat :D your pastures look good girl, and I like the cow horse, not bad lookin horse at all....yours or Mr fasterhorses and since we are on the subject :D how long since you been riding ?
good luck

Haymaker, it's been too long since I've been riding.
My knees bother me and I had to give it up. Last horse
I rode was a cutting horse in Oklahoma Nov. 2007.

This is a horse I bought for Mr. FH 4 years ago.
He is a Zan Parr Bar bred horse. Not the best horse, but
pretty darn nice. Take a look at his shoulder; it's pretty steep, so
he's not the smoothest ride. He's 10 now, and sad to say,
he's the only horse here right now. I'm waiting for Kosmo
to sell Sundance. Wonder how long I'll have to wait???

I suspect tooo long,if thats the horse he is standin in the saddle and standin on his head with.
Nuthin like being able to raise a horse from scratch and imprint it,just seems like there is a bond there that is missin from a bought horse,Im always comparin these horses I have now to ones I let get away, always disappointed too,not that these arent fine horses they are,but they aint like that ole gray horse I had..................good luck

I'm hearing those of us with bad knees, and of 'advancing age' had better get them fixed before we are rationed off the choice!

What does anyone think of the chances?

What is the cut off age in Canada for getting knee replacements....if one is retired, or just of retirement age, since we are never going to be able to really retire until we are forced by health reasons?

mrj

Nice country, fat cows and....well....cats :? :P

MRJ, my MIL had a hip replaced at age 71, two of our friends aged 70 and 74 had knee replacements this spring.

Not an expert on knee replacement but in Alberta if you are healthy enough to have a replacement and can live out the cue you will get a new knee or hip.

Great pictures Fh.....the kitty's are cute. The cattle are fat n sassy. You can bring the horse when you come to Texas...

And...please send your grass clippins to us....or rain..whichevers easiest.

I sure would if I could, Jersey Lilly. You know I would.
It's getting dry here too. We are supposed to have a system
move in tonight and give us some moisture tomorrow and tomorrow
night. This country is always only 3 days away from a drought, so
we're ready for the rain.

How did your cattle do at the sale?
