hey yall I need some help from thoes of you that know how to call them coyotes in I got an ol' Faulk's predator call and i went out today and tried calling them in and if any of ya got tips out there for me on how to call them in that would be great. And I love chasing coon allmost shot one today but when i went out to shoot him he went back up the old cottonwood tree so and tips on how to get them to would be great also thanks.

U sure got to be hid real good around here. Camoed up and in some brush. They rarely come in close. U got to have a flat shootin rifle with a good scope. It best to have a hide that's remotely controled to jump up and down. Look for there ears, 2 v's lookin at u from a hundred yards or more with bonoculars. Have a spoter and a shooter. They will circle u and smell u in the wind. Any little movement can run them off. I'm not good at huntin them. I can't be still long and like to tell to many storys and act crazy as hell. I have shot a many of them by just happenin up on them. I carry a rifle all the time for them. For a treed coon, at night u can shin there eyes. If they won't look at u. U can make a squallin noise and they will generly look. Cotton mouth water mocison's are bad around the water holes here. Every year they strike some cows but don't kill them. Just swell them up in the bite spot.

thanks for the in formation and what kind of rifle would u recomend? As for coon i have wanted to go out and hunt them but i got about 2 hours of home work a night and then whatever else i got going on but i see this coon up in my ol' cottonwood tree allmost got a shot at him. And what are cotton mouth water mocison's I have never heard of them befor?

Hey thanks cowhunter for all of the advice but i am going to have to use it next time to shoot a coon because right know its about 5:00 o'clock and i just shot a really nice coon good pelt and it big i'd say between 20 to about 27 pounds. So thanks again.

A 22 will kill any coon. A 22 hornet shoots flat and the shell aint to high. A cotton mouth is a poison water snake. Some times they will come to u and try and bite.
