When you could buy a good cow for 750 or a pair for 1100 we all have to remember calves were going for .80. Now that calves are bringing almost if not over 1000 each, cow prices have followed. It used to be it took 2 calves to pay for the cow and it still does. It still makes a guy look twice at prices that high. The word out here is to see $1.00 cull cows this spring if they are fleshy and have no issues. :shock:
The Missouri weekly market report issued every friday afternoon quoted
the top selling bred sale barn cows at $1760 each. Slaughter cows top fat ones selling top at 85 cents. Top dressing bulls already at $1.00 as high as $1.06 higher than they were last spring already.Those are tops averages much less.
These are sale barn cattle not repetition cattle.
