Try the classified page at this site or put a request in on it.. Mostly an angus site....

http://www.advantagecattle.com/

Or post your request on this one...A lot of folks on 5barx using that type of cattle....

Already have a classified on ACS with no luck so far. I'll look into the others.

thanks

Be patient I had an add on there for a couple years before I found the semen I was after. You could also give Brian an email asking if he might know where there is some.Thats what I did and a few months later some came available.I was after Shoshone Viking GD60 semen and ended up with 30 straws at $25 each. They just sold some on there for $230 a straw so It must be a money maker.

Wow Denny. Good for you even finding that Viking GD60 semen.
How are those calves looking? I'm sure a fan of that old bull.

I just got the semen home 2 weeks ago so it will be next spring before we get any direct son's and daughter's.

I have a grandson of GD60 x Stacker 7040 and we have some of his son's selling in our sale. One of them out of a BCC Bushwacker daughter is gaining 4 1/2 #s a day he's got alot of style to him.He did have an 85# birth weight so he's listed at 4.1 birth epd +36 ww +59 yw +17 milk +12.71 $EN he was out of a 1st calf heifer with an actual weaning weight of 610#s adj. to 646#s.

Just so everyone knows he was gaining this on a 52 meg diet with 4 #s of whole shell corn 1/2# of bean meal 1/2# of mineral and 17#s of distillars syrup 68% moisture and free choice 8% protein hay. We have them up to 9#s of the grain mixture now which is 8#s of corn 1/2# of mineral and bean meal and 19#s of syrup plus hay.I did'nt start graining any of my bulls until December 26th they were weaned and turned out on grass for a couple months they did have access to some wet distillars grain but the gain was about 2 #s a day the first 60 days.It did build alot of frame though they are just now getting fleshed up good.We have some younger bulls that will be 11 months old on sale day and will weigh over 1100#s by then. Our pen of bulls are gaining 3.25 #s a day average with a cost of $1.23 per head per day.
