Started cutting another field of hay this afternoon and spent most to the afternoon stuck in a low spot. After the big rain you can hardly go anywhere in the field.

"Bigger tractor has arrived to pull this unit out"

Got it out but it took quite a pull. Excellent hay crop but very wet !

I buried a deere 7410 like that last winter.. Was driving over a water line that had eroded underground and the ground just gave way. Neighbor came by with a 6420 and got it stuck to because he didn't listen to me about what direciton to approach from.. Finally had a 8410 or something come by to rip both tractors out... It was an absolute mess needless to say and a little embarassing since it was all over 20 feet off the road.

Yep I'd trade anybody for a hay crop like that, mud included. We have about given up on any hay here as June turned hot and dry. Only .45 so far in the month of June, and the forecast is for continued hot and dry. It got up to 103 today! Frustrating as we started out good in April.
I can sure understand MR how difficult it will be to get that hay dried out and baled. Hope you can get it put up. Maybe our hot dry weather will move your way and dry ya out.

Forecast isn't looking good for the hiline- the long range for the next 2 weeks is hot and dry...Not even much chance of a 4th of July thunderstorm....

Going to be a lot of $6 wheat burning up in the fields- that might make it $7 wheat for those areas that have rain...

Some people up here are saying their hay crops arent all that great but everything we have cut so far is very heavy and we didnt fertilize a bit of the hayland, only the pasture. I really feel for you folks in the drought areas sure wish you could get some rain.

I am awake extra early this a.m. we were going to bale but not tough enough yet-you can see lightning in the N.W.,but doesn't look as if it will amount to anything.Raked 5 or 6 hrs yesterday earlya.m. thinking that would give hay to bale during the night, but husband and son are now asleep on the living room floor waiting. Some places a fair amount of hay and others too dry and nothing, but am thankful for the rain we have gotten. :)

We too would like some mositure but I will be happy for anyone else that is blessed to get it!!!! We have been in the custom haying business on and off for 15 years. We will be going 150 miles this year looking for work. Aren't drought supposed to come in 7 years strips? Should this be the last year?

now that's stuck!!!

In our meadows, we sometimes come upon a big soft wet spot like that and fall in, can make a heck of a mess  Always fun to cut that place the next year :x

glad you were able to get it out ok
