...... As evidence that success can be bought, some cowboys point to Jon Winkelried, who last year resigned as the 49-year-old co-president of Goldman Sachs, where he had earned as much as $53 million a year......

What to heck are we going to do when we retire? :? :D :D

Retirement ~ I actually haven't thought that far a head! Guess I will have to catch my next "49 yrs old" to retire

Anybody made any retirement dreams .... ummm I mean plans? :)

Well I'd have to have a job first. Hows is that bay filly looking I keep drooling over on your website? Whiskey, Buttercup and Hank are up in the petting pen enjoying life everybody else is still out in the wasties. Whiskey is having the old foal that isn't out of a bronc stud so that should be interesting.

By the time most ranchers are able to retire they are too busted up from too many broncs to even think about crawling on a horse. Much less a cuttin' horse. I hope when I retire I'm still able to fork a kids horse. Different lifestyles I guess. What sounds like fun to them sure sounds like work to most of us. The amount of money those people spend to win that $90,000 would probably buy a good hayfield or pay off the cow note. I bet most people wish they could afford to enjoy only the romantic and fun part of being a cowboy. But when you're pulling calves at 10 below with a 40 mph wind its dang hard to think of cowboys and a romantic west at the same time.

Who knows when I will get to retire BUT I do know it wont be to ride cutting horses...............I am working on getting my cutter to ride english LOL
But if you must, make SURE you have a cutting saddle :P
