We just got home from a tough two game series with the Beardy's BlackHawks. They came into our barn and tied us 4-4 on Friday night. Ty got a couple of assists in that game. Today we travelled to Beardy's and it was winner take all. Ty set up our second goal then scored our third one but we ended up tied 4-4 at the end of regulation. we played one period of overtime and wetre still tied. Then in the second overtime Ty walked out of the corner and scored five hole to win it for us. Ty's line is our 'grind' line but they scored six goals this weekend lol. Beardy's is a a great team-very well coached it was a big effort to get by them. I'm pretty proud of our team-they are a pleasure to coach and are a classy group of athletes. Playoffs are nerve wracking-it's do or die every weekend. My youngest girl emily got the player of the game award on saturday night in Prince Albert so we had a good weekend in the rink.

Yikes  ....those close games wreck havok on a fans{oh and coaches }nerves.Sure happy about the outcome :D :D :D Ty's the man :!: :!: :!: I sure wish I could make a game :(

Yahhh Emily, our 4yr old niece Reagan just started hockey this year and her daddy's coaching, its fun watching, she waves at daddy every time she skates by,daddy just bout blows a gasket

The next series will be the one to watch-were playing a team who discarded a couple of our key players.they are loaded up with 17 year olds so it's going to be a tough one. Motivating the boys to play them won't be a problem-you better just load up and come watch. Emily is pretty much done hockey till she goes to SaskFirst in April-only 400 miles away in Yorkton lol.

way to go! how is ty's knee holding up? what kind of temps are you having cory? We are spose to be -20F tonight, hope it warms up My first calves will be coming in a week or so. Tell the family hello for me. Shawn

The next series is a two game total goal-they are real nerve wracking-one bad shift can literally end your series. One of the players that the team were playing screwed over is a fifteen year old rookie. He came over to us as the tenth forward but has worked his way to the powerplay-he put up six points for us last weekend. My other coach is very good at developing players to their full potential the boys are very lucky to have him for a coach. He's a Calgary Flames fan but hey nobody's perfect.

Thing i hated in two game total goal series was when or even if to pull my goalie when down a goal late in the first game..Good luck with the game and just as you could be hurt by a one bad shift you can be helped huge by one good shift....I am cheering for you guys and hoping your goalie brings his best game...Warm up is key....

I refuse to watch my goalies warm up lol. Some can't stop a beachball but are ready at game time lol. All I ask from the tender is to be mentally tough-don't worry about a bad goal but just stop the next one. i think our teams biggest strength is they don't get down on each other-if somebody's struggling the rest just go to work. I made them look around the room at the start and told them these are your brothers till it's over-you'll never be on a team together as a unit again so make the most of it.
