Nicky:
Beautiful pictures. I was raised in SW Colorado, NW New Mexico...with of course Herefords. Like so many others, you made me have some wonderful (and ok maybe some less wonderful) memories of moving our Herfs off of the high mountain Forest Service land home, and then to the desert BLM land in New Mexico.
This also brought back the first time Mr. TTB went home with me--first he couldn't believe cattle could live in the desert of NW New Mexico, and second he didn't know that there were that many Herefords around--I reminded him that he hadn't spent much time in the cattle country of the western US, where probably the ol Herf. is still the king---he occasionally still mentions how many Herefords he saw on that first trip, and how many he has since seen in our travels westward.
I married into a Red Angus (the OTHER red breed  ) outfit here in the Dakotas, so we don't have those beautiful scenes--missing both the cattle and scenery.
Beautful pictures of the mountain west, and do remember that there is a photo contest going on---I think there is a catagory or two that your pictures might fit into.
Thanks again, and I hope you're enjoying the peace and quiet!!!
I'm off to a two day All Breeds Cattle Tour hosted by the North Dakota Stockman's Assn. It'll be a beautiful fall day (in the upper 60's, low 70's) here.
Cheers
TTB
