Went out with Emily thgis A'M in a drizzle-didn't see any horn and she decided not to fill her doe tag yet. This afternoon Sara and I got in some action-saw a buck come out at the far end of the field-made a quick 500 yards and got onto him. She decided to pass on hin-so we just moved up closer-two nice 150 class bucks came out and worked towards us but we didn't have good wind-so she tried one a little far out-missed him but that's hunting. Ciorcled to get the wind better and passed on one more small buck-saw a roan coloured doe with white strips on her legs.

sara on the sticks decides to let this little fella grow a bit-wasn't much longer that the big boys arrived-hard to tell but theres a deep cut behind that buck where they stage before coming furthur out. Dad set up his sniper at the wrong end of the field tonight.

Emily's turn today-saw a doe and fawn head into a bush we got ahead of them and set up-Em's was getting cold so I circled upwind and did a scent push-they came out a little far up the bush and on the run so she held her fire. Later I glassed a doe and we did a sneak but she missed-not the first kid to miss a shot at their first deer I guess lol.

The first show was tonight-prerety cool watching those 40-50 year old ex Nhl guys figure skating-they did pretty darn good-especially the tough guys. The girl skating with Bob Probert is from our home town so that was sweet. Probably the most straight males ever figure skating at one time lol.
