Dems Use Birth Certificate Issue to Raise Money

Democrats may be upset with all the questions about President Barack Obama's birthplace, but some are starting to use the issue to their advantage.

The Democratic Governors Association has sent a fundraising letter Democrats, Fundraising, Obama Birth Certificateasking donors to give money to help stop bills requiring birth certificates for presidential candidates being considered in various red states, Slate.com reports.


"You and I know that birtherism is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the extreme, hard-right agenda supported by Republican governors across the country," the letter says.
