Back in the 1970's while attending the Denver Stock Show, I was in the Livestock Exchange Building. The Franklin Vaccine Company had an office in there back then, and I stopped by to say hi. I complimented them on the nice calendars they always put out each year using wonderful paintings and photographs, and offhandedly asked if they had any old calendar pictures on hand. A kind person volunteered to check this out. Upon arriving home a couple days later, I was pleasantly surprised to find that a package from the Franklin company had beat me home. There were over twenty very nice calendar pictures in the box. One artist that they often featured was Raphael Lillywhite, and several of his paintings were included. I still have a soft spot in my heart for Franklin veterinary supplies, even though the company has been out of business for many years.
