Depressing

It won't be long and you will be looking for your long underwear way up there. It will be hot in Alabama until December.
Hang there y'all it will get better.

Yeap when ya'll are buildin fires tryin to keep warm, wearin yer longjonnies, and wrappin up with blankies cuz your toes are cold sittin at the computer.
In December, we'll be Christmas shoppin in cut offs and flip flops wishin it'd snow. (Well not me. I don't wear flip flops)

FH,

I know the feeling. I cant remember the last day here that it dodnt get up to 90+ Havent had any rain in a month and it is sure starting to show. People are running out of pasture, crops are just plain dieing and its har to take when the long range forecast shows more heat and no rain.

FH, hopefully it will cool down to the 80's (for a day or two) next week as they are predicting  Too dang hot to do a whole lot, we just make sure all the water tanks are full

I just checked the weather...wish I hadn't.

100 degrees today, 101 for tomorrow and 104 for Sunday.

Nasty, to say the least.

Same here FH- but like Hanta said, they are actually predicting temps below 90 starting on Monday...

We have our big 4-H horse show this weekend- and altho I have no one in 4-H anymore I should go since several of the kids are riding horses bought from me and I've donated some of the sponsor stuff for it and the team roping - but the air conditioning almost sounds better...I must be getting older- maybe just wiser  ...

Lordy...hope it breaks by the time I get in that part of the world..

But I'm used to the heat aspect of it all but..the LACK of humidity is what gets to me. I usually keep a nosebleed for a whole day or so till I adjust.

Here in Ga I've gone Christmas shopping in shorts!!!! LOVE IT!

hot here too in SE Alberta. But we are used to no rain after june. The hard grass just cures up in july anyway. If you listen close you can here the price of hay going up.

It clouded up real good this afternoon looked like we would get hit hard, but then we had enough drops to hardly wet the sidewalk. :???: Then it cleared off so I guess we are out of luck again>....:( We started creep feeding the calves today, hoping to save some grass for their momas.

It wasn't to hot this afternoon. A nice breeze, Britt and i rode the town pastures this afternoon. Nice break from the heat.

Was really nice here until about 2PM--stayed in the 80's until 2 and then shot up to 97...But its getting so anything under 100 feels cool....

I see the Canadian weather boys are predicting highs only in the 70's for some days next week just north of the border (Rockglen)....

I hear these heat wave horror stories from you southerners and it just reaffirms my belief that humans aren't meant to live down there. I figure you can allways put more clothes on, but there's only so many to take off. You guys are obviously way tougher than me. We've had several days in the 90's this summer, had me thinking of moving the operation north.

Silver if you get any farther north, you will really be the stereotypical Canadian, living in an igloo and chasing cariboo! I know what you mean about not taking the heat though; I can't imagine trying to work or survive in 100 degree temperatures!

We've had upwards of 95+ weather all week, tonight I ran to our biggest city,an hour drive,to get supplys for DIL to be bridal shower tommorow. I drove home in one of the worst rainstorms I've ever seen, poured soooo hard, couldn't see in front or behind me  Lightning like a light switch being turned on and off...............But we got LOTS of rain, still raining :D

We have been in the 90's for going on seventeen days, wish it would rain but haven't seen any of that to speak of since finished 1st cutting hay. This heat sure beats the 64 below with wind chill that the first heifer calved in, in late February. I was definitley born for the sunny side of the slope.

Hanta be careful of those too hot to do anything else days.... thats how those spring babies show up

LOL I'm not "makin fun" it just struck me as kinda funny. "In the 90s for 17 days".......

We been in the 90s or 100s for what.....since late march early april. I just thought it was kinda funny that he 's countin days that are in the 90s, most of us down here, don't even count the days that are in the 100s, it's normal for us this time of year. Just wish those of you up there that are dealin with the heat would get some rain.
