Looks like Montana, the Dakotas, Idaho and Wyoming could be in for another soaking.... :) :) :) :D
This low moving in from the Pacific is supposed to stall out as a closed low over southern Montana and northern Wyo- sit and spin- and could dump lots of moisture....Predicting it will produce mostly thunderstorms (some SEVERE) for a day or two and then for it to turn into steady rain...

Weather boys say that many areas could get over 2 inches of rain in the next few days, as this front has ample moisture in it....Flood watches out for all northeast Mt. because of all the streams and rivers being so high already....
Got the son to help today- and I hauled bulls out- a couple days early rather than get them flooded in down here on the river bottom...

Then they predict a nice weekend..

And then about Tuesday of next week another wet low moving in again following the same pattern   :D

Good to see it looks like even some of you folks down south are getting a little moisture too.....

We just had a public warning come on the TV...Spruce Grove...two hours nothwest of us was hit with a tornado, haven't heard of the damage but warning was for all in area to take immediate cover. Its heading Southward,I hate this kind of weather.

Spruce Grove????? I better call Sharon and Alfred and make sure they are OK!!!!!!! Lord Edmonton hasnt seen a twister in a while, but the last time they had one it was bad......

OT,

Do you think we will get that rain up here? You are the weather guru. I checked the US forecast for this area and it says Severe Thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon. With up to 2 inches of rain. If we get it will be nice but we arent starving for rain right now.

Well we didn't get the tornado...a real downpour and a few power outages but other then that its now a nice gentle rain :)

Judith...how did your family in Spruce Grove make out? Luckily the tornado didn't hit the town but looks like a pretty huge water mess.

Yep-- A lot of this moisture is going north of us now and throwing out some interesting looking storms in Canada...I see where the Doppler radar shows one storm could have dumped 5 inches near Eastend Sk...

Radar shows some wicked ones right now riding right along the border...They're just starting to kick up around me- with one little one building up just north of us (moving northeast) within the last hour....Sure can hear the booming...

Then they say when the storms get thru they think it will turn to solid rain--snow in ranchwifes country....

The water vapor satellite shows that the water vapor for this front stretchs from Baja to Hudsons Bay....

I counted each and every drop we got today.

Didn't even have to take off my shoes.

In the last 2 weeks we've recieved near 7"s of rain our pastures are 2 to 3 ft tall with good grass I will get some pictures water and grass everywhere I love it.It has been tough seeding here the high ground is muddy but I'm about done boy I hate sod busting. We will be done AI'ing Friday then the bulls can finish up.

Round 1 past us- Looks like they're in Manitoba Ranchers country this morning...I got lightning, thunder, wind, and about as many raindrops as Mike-- but there are reports coming in from the areas of our pastures (and the radar shows) over an inch for some of those areas....
Looks like some areas right along the border got dumped on- and that even Big Muddy may have got wet...

Polaski says round 2 is starting with snow in Ranchwife and Cowboyups part of the country-- 90% chance of moisture with more thunderstorms this afternoon- and a flat 100% chance of heavy rain tonite....

Please send some of your rain this way :)

Sure wish I could-- last year we were in the middle of a drought- now this year we have flood warnings every week  Can't figure Ol Ma Nature out...

I don't know if any of this will get down to you- but this front and system is already producing thunderstorms and rain as far east as Minnesota and Iowa- and is supposed to be moving south and east...
This is a major system that is going to effect a large portion of North America....

The reports here are we will be hit tomorrow by a lot of severe weather.. Some pop ups today as we shoot up from high 50's this morning ot mid 80's by evening.. Depending on when the system gets to this region it could be lots of rain.. But that was me listening in a semi asleep, semi awake mode as I was up half the night with insomnia...

Our already grazed pastures would do well with some rain... Pretty much too late for our Barley field as it is starting to head here and there.. Not going to be worth cutting for hay probably...

We were supposed to get a bunch of rain from TS Barry last week but only got an inch or two. We are a tropical climate and the fires this year have been horrible with no rain. Hope everyone up north stays safe in these storms.

Boy is eastern Montana going to get some flooding-- reports of some areas getting up to 2 inches an hour- and some areas of up to 5 inches of rain....

While I've only received a tenth of an inch--The Willow Creek drainage area which I posted the pics of the flooding 2 weeks ago has gotten 2-3 inches in some areas in a storm that didn't move for several hours....

Reports of mud and water over some highways down in the Miles City area....

Old Muddy Missouri should be raising.....

And it looks like no real let up in sight....

That should help fill all them downstream dams. Like Oahe.

Yep JB-- Those dams down below should be getting a lot of water coming...

Looks like the front has moved out on us-- Cool (55) and windy today...Looks like the Dakotas, Wyo, and Manitoba are getting wet from it now...

Weather boys are predicting a few days of dry-- and then possibly another wet front moving in from Judiths country on Sunday or the first part of the week... Oh what a wet area we live in

This area sounds like we all got close to or slightly more than 2 inches. Woohoo!

More Coming? Not a problem other than listening to people bench about wet roads and next will be cuz they ain't haying yet.

Might be a rerason them old timers never started haying until after the 4th of July.

We have a line coming this way.. Almost at the river now.. All I know is it has been windy and MUGGY all day long today.. About 90 for high today, would feel a lot warmer if it wasn't for the steady, heavy wind we have had..
