I kept a bull calf from last year. Out of an Angus/Hereford cow back on an Angus/Simmental bull. I like him so far.

Littlest H loves to show pigs at a few stockshows around the state. So here are the pigs for the Tooele county show

And here are two he plans to take to the Millard County stock show in June. They came clear from Nebraska but are making themselves at home on the desert

We jumped in with both feet for Littlest H and started raising pigs for him to show and sell. Had a sow farrow this past week. New experience for us but other than some lost sleep, a lot of fun

I will always be a cow guy at heart. But the kids have sure thrived with their lambs and pigs. Sunday is always a fine time to count one's blessings. I have many Lord and I thank you sincerely for each and every one. May y'all love your lives , appreciate all that ya have been blessed with and give thanks often.

@leanin' H Awesome photos! As a former livestock judge, I must say your cattle have the basic build necessary to hold their own at any show. #25 really impresses me! Thanks for the all-around shots. His width and girth are most impressive. His head carriage is excellent with a nice width to the neck that blends into the loin smoothly and back nicely to the rump which exhibits an outstanding length with a solid width. Deserving special praise is the brisket and the loin. It has been so long, I forget all the right way to deliver my assessment, so I just winged it.

Is that the Wasatch Mountains in the back? I haven't been to Utah for 40 years.

Those are the Sheeprock range on the edge of Utahn's West Desert. Part of the many ranges that make up the Great Basin. Thanks for the words on the bull. We like him. Looking forward to how his calves look and perform

Thanks for the pictures and reminder to give thanks to the Creator, not the creation.
That baby bull calf is an eye popper.
Your good ole' dog is very faithful, I can tell. 💕

Going to the Wasatch mountains are on my bucket list after driving by them years ago,
but not being very familiar with Utah, they aren't 'your' mountains, I take it. So where are
the ones we see in your pictures located?

West of the the Wasatch range. "My" mountains are in our backyard. Our family ranch settle by our pioneer great grandparents is directly over those Mnts.

Your dog looks tired. You shouldn't work him so hard. He is probably happy that the gloves are off and the pitchfork stuck in the bale.
My dog Gus is getting old, kinda like the guy typing this reply 😁 He is a dang great dog and a lot of help for being a lab cross. He rides the four wheeler with me everywhere and loves moving water, checking cattle and looking for shed horns. I've tried to get him to learn to throw hay with a pitchfork but he told me he was hired to lay on the bales and supervise
