Wife has a couple donkeys out in the pasture, one was without a scratch, other has some injuries. I wanted to see if any has opinions on whether it could have been a large cat, coyote or dogs. Some years ago we had some weird wounds on a cow, not sure what happened. Not sure if a bobcat could do this, but we do have them in this area, but only rumors of larger cats. I'm in a rural area about 40 miles southwest of Houston.

I’d bet money it’s dogs.
I agree it is dogs. I have seen several dog pack attacks and the wounds do look more like a pack of dogs than a single bobcat or single dog. I would guess 4 to 6 dogs of various sizes looking at the wounds. I hope you reported it to the sheriff.

Bobcats on small whitetail deer latch on under the throat. Cougars on horses, land on top of back and bite into neck. Grizzly will wack cows in the nose like mike Tyson. Wolves when unsuccessful will usually end up with the cows tail as souvenir.
