I don't know if this would help you or not but here are three calves sired by the bull you have in the first pic - all born April this year. I don't know how much semen is left on that bull though - I got some of Lapp.

I used the bull for a few reasons - exceptional cow maker number one, moderate birth and frame, carcass.

In the 50's "Good Curly Hair" meant Air Condition Cold Barns and Misting all the show cattle at night _ We Had Hair all the way back...
 
I will get a couple pics of my bulls, they are nice and curly, and I don't baby them at all... they sit out in the Kansas summers and they have to take it .....
 
My placing is 2-3-4-1 I personally preferred #2. He is heavy muscled, well balanced and offers enough boned to carry himself. He also offers a heavier muscled hind-quarter. And he carries that muscle from the top of that quarter to the lower third. He carries a large scrotum which well help with fertillity in heifers in the future.
And there's my two cents.

I think jigs is maybe a little jealous? :D You have some dang fine bulls and the folks on here are certainly not shy about saying so.
 
not jealous, just know what I like. I never said any you posted were bad...just not curly enough for my taste....the other thing I do not like is the yellow tinted Herfs....I like that thick dark red.

Now, now, I was just a kiddin' ya. Besides, I already got me a fine bull picked out. #2. CL 1 DOMINO 320N will be the daddy of some nice little baldie calves come spring 2010. Unfortunately, I'll have to break my promise to Shortgrass. No Denver babies in spring 2010. Have to wait one more year. Welp, now that I finally know where I am headed, I guess I can finally get on down the trail. :cowboy:

No, as a matter of fact I don't. Maybe you'd like to expand on that vague, generalized statement, that gives the impression that you're anything but. One curious mind would like to know, because in all honesty, to say that you're an "Angus man", is saying that you like black hides and red hides, easy-fleshers & poor-doers, efficient females and 4-legged feed wagons, quiet cows and fence-crawlers, highly maternal momma cows, but also crooked-footed, funnel-butted, swing-bags, stomp-their-calf-as-soon-as-look-at-it good for nothin' no-milkin' hags.

Because, last time I checked, EVERY breed on EVERY farm or ranch has some of each of those mentioned. Now if you meant that you have a certain type of Angus in mind as your ideal beef animal, which you raise and are proud of, then I guess I misunderstood you, and I apologize. If not, then how about we agree to leave the BREED VS. BREED crap out of the discussion? It makes for better reading on here when we filter out the chaff.
