Someone better wake up and figure this is not a matter to pussy foot around with.

DALLAS, Texas -- Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins shocked the local press corps Thursday night when he and two female workers entered the apartment where America's first Ebola patient was staying. He entered without any visible protection from possible exposure to the deadly virus.

Judge Jenkins entered the apartment to speak with the occupants who are now being held inside their home under a protection order requiring their compliance. He and two unknown women entered and were not visibly wearing gloves or any kind of mask or other form of protection from the virus.

Showed the cleaning crew with no suits power washing the vomit off the sidewalk. :???: :?

I saw this (re video of people spraying vomit off the sidewalk, with no protective gear, just pressure washing, and it looked like workers from the apartment complex). absolutely the most insane thing I have every seen. it looked like a 3rd world country attempt, or worse.

from the looks of the state or feds clean up, decontamination, and disposal of contaminated and exposed materials effort of the apartment complex where this man with ebola lived, larry, curly, moe could have done a better job.

however, slick rick perry says different. he thinks that just because absolutely no one showing up from the state of Texas TDH or the CDC to clean up, just let everything sit for 3 days like nothing happened, until the media forces action, that everything is working as it should. this man is oblivious to reality. he had to read every word he said in his statement, and while doing it, he looked totally lost. could you imagine this guy with a set of nuke keys?...never mind, he has already made Texas a laughing stock, and a nuclear dumping ground for 38 states...and more, but I will spare this forum the facts there i.e. pollution levels so bad in and around Houston, it's not safe, can't eat fish from Galveston bay anymore in a lot of areas, oh, and mad cow disease in Texas, he is still hiding information on that case. funny how confidentiality works with CJD aka mad cow type victims, compared to this ebola case. were still waiting for the history of the recent mad cow victim in Texas. what's up with that ?

''Perry assured Texas residents that everything is being done to protect the welfare of Texans''

''This case is serious, rest assured, our system, is working as it should''

http://globalnews.ca/video/1592679/u-s-ebola-patient-had-contact-with-some-school-age-children

slick rick perry's assurances don't do much for me. I have heard that old song and dance too many times.

> It spreads only by close contact with a patient's bodily fluids.

famous last words. I remember when they said that about the TSE prion disease over a decade ago, and today, it's a different story.

Aerosol Transmission of Chronic Wasting Disease in White-tailed Deer

http://chronic-wasting-disease.blogspot.com/2012/11/aerosol-transmission-of-chronic-wasting.html

but why for the life of me these media reporters can't do a little homework, instead of rubber stamping everything the federal government says about infectious disease. just a quick search of science will show you that indeed there is a risk factor for aerosol transmission of Ebola. ...please see ;

something to ponder here.

much easier to strap on a biological belt bomb with Ebola, than it is to strap on a suicide vest with explosives, then simply walk on to an airplane, for a walk on the wild side.

SO, 4 months after the fact and still no word on this case. no information what so ever. the silence is deafening $$$

GOP 2016ers on Ebola: Panic

For Republicans — and conservative media outlets — it's time for panic about ebola. | AP Photos

For once, President Barack Obama and Texas Gov. Rick Perry are on the same page. At separate briefings on the Ebola crisis, Obama administration officials and Perry have delivered the same message: Don't panic — the health authorities know what they're doing.

But for other Republicans — and conservative media outlets — it's time for panic.
------------------------

In fact, of the 2016 Republican hopefuls who have commented on the Ebola crisis, Perry is the only one who has been a reassuring voice.

At a Wednesday press conference in Dallas, he made all of the points public health experts make to reduce public fears: You can't catch it by breathing it, people aren't contagious before they have any symptoms, and it's much harder to catch than the common cold. And he gave public health officials a strong vote of confidence: "Rest assured that our system is working as it should. Professionals on every level of the chain of command know what to do to minimize this potential risk to the people of Texas and of this country, for that matter."

Perry better be careful or he'll lose his membership in the fearmongers and hatemongers good old boy club.... God forbid- he's not out their trying to create panic amongst the weak mind sheeples - AND then on top of that- agreeing with President Obama... What will be next :???:  :p

"not contagious, before they show symptoms"

So the people that were sent into the quarantined apartment were able to tell that those quarantined were not running a fever, just by looking at them?

If Health officials know what they are doing, why did they leave the contaminated bedding in that apartment for days before showing up in hazmat suits to collect them?

And why leave the guy's car in the parking lot for a couple of days before showing up to shrink wrap it?

One thing that is sure, is that as a centralized government gets bigger and takes on my "protection" duties, of citizens, they start screwing up more often.

It's been proven over and over.

None of what was mentioned above is "panic." Each is a real-world, rational way of dealing with the problem. At this stage, some may be more premature than others. However, some of us are beginning to a) think the government may not be truthful about what is going on and/or b) isn't competent enough to react properly even if it isn't.

If anyone is mildly panicking, it is solely because the Dallas situation has been mishandled in many ways and we were assured recently that the situation wasn't going to happen anyway.

Kudos, however, to Politico for carrying some water for the administration in advance.

Good doggies.

Some of these Patriot, Militia, survivalist type folks are sure trying to push it into a panic-- and running 10 times the ads trying to peddle their survival gear and foods...
I imagine next the ammo companies will join in so they can sell some of the weak minded thousands of $ worth of ammo again... I wonder if there will be folks maxing out their credit cards buying up and hoarding ammo like there was after Obama got elected...

How many of those types of websites do you have bookmarked , OT?

None--but they are sure putting the ads on FB and some of the other web links so I checked a couple out ...
They are running special sales- so you better hurry there hypocrite...

So that's where you find out what's going on in the World eh?

Facebook

I notice there are a lot of anti virus ads on Ranchers lately...wonder how that happens

Like this one OT...spreading the fear....using ebola for a political purpose. :)

Maybe all those prepper ads, you're reading OT, are for when the Global Warming meltdown hits...I read that Climate Change caused ebola.
