What eventually happens with the tumbleweeds, will they rot down rather quickly this spring or stick around for awhile?

I saw the eclipse also last nite...but being the blond that I am...it didn't dawn on me that is what I was looking at till later. Glad you got a picture of it though, they turned out good. Thanks

What eventually happens with the tumbleweeds, will they rot down rather quickly this spring or stick around for awhile?

A fifty mile per hour wind put the tumbleweeds against the fence. We need a thirty mile per hour wind from the other direction to take them off the first fence, but not be so strong as to take them back across the pasture to the next fence. :wink: Otherwise, hopefully they will rot down. The tumbleweeds are a by-product of droughty conditions. A lot of our troubles could be fixed by some nice spring rains. This would also help to rot down the tumbleweeds.

If we had the tumbleweeds in the fence like that I would use stronger language than you did Soapweed. (just to myself of course) :wink: Let's hope you do not get a big snow now with some wind with it, or you will have no end of fence to fix.
