Well there's lots of feed out there and some real good cattle always show up at this sale.

We had a fair sale, one week later the opens were out selling the breds in Lloydminster, lot of nudge nudge there.

Edam probably has more practical heifers on the average than Agribition and set the pace for the fall market. I'm 90% sure we have ours sold for a bit stiffer price-repeat buyers. Cheap breeder cattle can cost alot of money and time as you try and breed them better. The only time we took a bath on top end hfrs was when BSE hit-at least they were saleable just about $500 light of what we had agreed on. A good commercial female at $1600 will pay more bills than a crappy PB at $2000!

Had a good sale today across the Board. Breds sold as high as $1850, but a strong average of $1560. A lot of younger people there too, which seems to go against the norm.
