Hey El, MCG got a blue ribbon for this heifer, I think she should have received a gold medal but got a silver instead. This heifer is due to calve middle of August, and look how thick she is!

Hello Hanta Yo, I am what you guys call a lurker....raise those darn black ext's that the canadians love so much,. Couldn't help but notice the brand on the first heifer, very nice by the way.....couldn't make it all out but looks very familiar. Our brand is a 7 lazy K on the RH.

Looking great there Hanto. MCG looks great too. :D
My daughter is joining 4-H this fall, she can hardly wait to start showing beef cattle. As tiny as she is it should interesting.

MCG started showing at 9, when I get time to post some pics I'll put them on here. You can't even see her on the other side of her steer :)

Great looking hfr but I would like her teat to be smaller. Anyone else think it might get too big later on?

Being smaller or being taller. ITs more like the calves she raises.
I always wonder how those heifers were fed up to the show. This heifer is not fat. However if she was hog fat she would appear be deeper than she actually. I have a hunch bigger deepr cattle will be comming back..Just a hunch some have gotten there cattle to small.
One of the fairs down here a boy was showing a big heifer that out weighed (in terms of thickness and depth) everything shw showed against by a few hundred pounds. Because she was ugly she did not not make it to champion but reserve was her spot. Both judges from different states
said she is the kind of cows that MAKE money. The heifer was shown by a breeder that has raised cattle for 30 years. THis photo of I assume a Gelbvieh heifer show her breed type.
