I fed them one day last week, and this is only the second time they've gotten any this fall. The weather is starting to get colder so we will have to start breaking ice quite often. We will probably start to cake on a more regular basis from now on, maybe every other day for awhile until the snow flies.

Ya it's ice breaking time already....I've had the pleasure of doing that a couple times already....Coveralls,an axe,a pitchfork, and the cake truck...my winter job has arrived! Love your sunset pictures as usual...Thanks Soapweed...

Is your pack horse a gas or diesel ? I can see you in a Dodge commercial sitting at a stop light, when a couple kids pull up beside you and ask, " Zat thing got a hemi " ? Nice looking set of young cows. Need to keep the baldies to help find them on a dark night.
