Endlessly

This morning while on Ranchersnet I've been watching two feral cats out back, one black and white and one gray, we've dubbed them "Black n White" and "Grayscale". Black n White has taken to living in our abandoned doghouse.
Right now Grayscale is endlessly pacing around on top of the frozen pond studying the goldfish which are clearly visible and sluggishly swimming just below his paws, so near yet so far.

Does that remind you of anything?
(or is that way too deep for today 8) )
 
Reminds me of something, but I won't go into it. Suffice it to say, what is so far is beyond my reach and I don't think anything I can or will do, will get me what I want. Such is life!
