Interesting to note that those daily exposed to the workings of the natural world in agriculture are far more attune to the idea that there is indeed a Supreme Being who set all these things in motion and has caused them to operate within the laws He set forth. Gives one a bit of a burning in the bosom to go share truth with some people using what God has already planted in their hearts.

2Pe 3:3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

2Pe 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 2Pe 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
2Pe 3:7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.


This doesn't sound like evolution to me. Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
 
The development of different strains of fruit fly for genetic experiments through intensive selection - as opposed to the more extensive, random selection in nature, equates to millions of years of "evolution" in large mammals, yet there has not been a single strain that has developed into a new species, they are all still genetically compatable fruit flies. only without wings or red eyed or albino etc. The scientific proof against evolution exists right there in our higher education laboratories.

When I think on my OWN, it lead only to depression. If this is all there is, then if I die today or tomorrow- does it matter? I won't know the difference. Suicide is very valid. Loss of a loved one is nothing as they are nothing once gone, and the only connection is the feeling I harbor until I die. People are no more important than a mouse. And no more important than a tree. Murder is not immoral. Getting caught is the only adverse effect of anything illegal.

If this is all there is, live for today for tomorrow I die. If you truly believe this in the deepest of your being, why do you not rob and kill for the pleasures of the world. Take what you want when you want it. Even if you did, you know that you would feel guilt. Why?

You have a conscious, a moral sense of right and wrong. That is in your mind and only there because of your Creator.

But if THIS life is nothing, and the word of God is true. Then the future is everything. The relationships that are so cherished, are cherished for a reason. If people are made in the image of God, then they have true value. Murder is immoral. There is such a thing as moral law, that your conscious confirms for you.


Ask yourself if a grown man raping a 5 year old girl is a universally EVIL act?

If you say yes, as we all know the act to be. Then you have to admit that if there is evil. If there is evil, then there is a moral right and wrong.... a moral law. If there is moral law, it has to originate somewhere. A universal moral law author.

If you believe that evil exists, then you have to believe that God exists.

If you say that it is not evil, then you have to believe that it is okay for someone to rape 5 year old girls. It shocks the conscious. That is what science will never explain.


The fact that we live on a rock that rotates around an energy source at such a narrow margin, that as we rotate on our axis, water will transform from a solid state, to a liquid and gaseous state. Any further away from the Sun and life would not exist because of frigid temperatures. Any closer and we would burn up. It is exactly perfect and it rotates perfectly enough to give us seasonal changes that center around the narrow melting and boiling points of water.

Life... it not only had to originate, but it had to replicate instantly. It had to originate and when it did, it had to automatically be able to re-create itself. This argues against natural law. 2nd law of thermodynamics- The second law says that the entropy (disorder) of the universe increases. Without energy input into the system, disorder will occur. With time, if you don't actively clean the house, it will become messy. It doesn't become more orderly and complex. The origins of life did not start out as molecules and become so complex that a human can rationally think, feel emotions, create, have full systems that feed back on themselves, systems so complex that modern man still doesn't understand them. The human brain is a mystery. Emotions don't make logical sense. The 2nd law of thermodynamics argues against life starting as nothing and becoming so complex naturally.


The Bible is the story of perfect love. Love your God with all your heart, soul and might. Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Do not covet, Do not murder, Love your Mother and Father...... God gave His Son for the forgiveness of Sins that were and weren't even committed and to fulfill the law that man falls short of. The work is done, it all Grace. All it takes is acceptance that you are not perfect and that He is Lord. When in reality, we deserve death from breaking the moral law that was placed in our own minds. That is Love. That is something to not be depressed about.


The thing is this, ultimately you have to have faith. You either have faith in God, or you have faith in evolution. They both had to have something in the origin. Something cannot come from nothing. Something had to be there originally. Infinity backwards....... it had to be there. The boom, the spark, whatever..... it had to come from something. It is faith to believe in either. To me, God makes more sense.


I enjoy debating philosophy and theology. I don't intend to be inflammatory.
