That's according to my ranch manager who usually measures rainfall on the high side.....so I'll have to wait to see for sure. Having said that, I'm waiting for my ride as I type.

We'll be planting bermuda grass for a couple of days at least and I'm also going to try to squeeze in about 15 acres or so of sorghum/pasture seed mix on two plots that are plowed and ready to go.

If the level of my ponds has changed significantly, I'll take some pics.

It always rains after a drought.

:P

Wonderful. Things will be looking up for ya!!

He claims there's standing water in the entrance road. If so, we got good rainfall.

More often than not lately we'll get a rain that looks decent but when one checks underneath the trees, the ground is still dry. That's not a soaking rain.

I've got my fingers crossed.

Here's a pic I took last Friday after dropping a single match on the ground, note my water cannon in the background:

Oops!!! But you know what....where it burnt, it'll probably come back way greener and in better shape than the rest of the field, and you'll wish you'd burnt the whole thing.

Always seems to work that way LOL

Glad to hear ya got some rain, I hope for you sake it's as much as your hopin it was. My three wieners just scratched on the front door wantin in, opened it, and it's rainin again here as I type. Yeahhhhh!!!!!

Just returned from the ranch.

We got good rainfall on Monday and managed to plant sorghum and bermuda on Wed and Thursday. Yesterday, it poured!!!!!!!!! :D

I worked today preparing another piece of ground to be planted with sorghum either tomorrow or Monday. I won't be there but they promised me it'll get done. I'll find out on Tuesday.

That rainfall is such a pretty thing. I even took some pics of what the mountains are supposed to look like during a "Venezuelan winter".
