It is pouring down rain here, and I guess I will tell you as I gotta go milk soon and I am reluctant.
A Dirt Hawker is a falconer that flies a Red tail hawk or a Gos or a Harris.
And long winger is someone who flies a falcon.
The falcons don't work good in the deep woods like where I live so I fly a Red tail or a Harris.
I got a little Harris right now, a tircel, named Admiral Byrd.
He is not as good a hunter as my old hen red tail that I released this past year. She was a passage bird I trapped. The Harris was born in Captivety but parent raised.
He is a lazy soul. That Red tail was a great hawk. However where I live folks get funny about hunting.
It is kinda a paradox I guess.
I do wildlife work as well as farm, and try to teach balance.
But, at one point some folks had pigeons that had taken up residence in their apartments. They were making a big mess.
So I brought Ad Byrd over and we had a fine time chasing them.
Although the Pigeons are very hard to catch.
But the Bryd tried to swing up and catch them under the eaves.
At one point an older lady came out on the second story porch and said to her husband,
(She couldn't see me.)
Albert, there is a large bird out here.
It was pretty funny!
