I found this little feller today while takein a break from the thistle war. He's the most colorful one yet and I figer yall pure bred breeders will be fightin over him to cover yall's heifers. wait a minate, I'm a damn pure bred breeder to! Imagin that! The only thing I see yall havein a problem is when them heifers spit these cracker calfs out, they will slide on that snow a 100 yards or so. But the cows can trail them up. Now calfin will be sleepin in bed and countin calfs the next mornin. I'll have about 50 so yall get in line. No sale or auction. I know yall like to pay a bunch so they will either go for 45 thousand or 45 hundred. What ever u won't to pay. I'll even finance them. Lol!

I like your outlook Cowhunter. Take what you can get, right? Perhaps your current circumstances give you a vantage point that few of us can truly appreciate. It appears to me that you are highly capable of enjoying the "here and now", whereas I seem to always be looking for a better tomorrow. Bigger, faster, stronger is my direction of concentration, and I'm not talking about cows when I say that.

I'd like to spend some time in your company to further hone my ability to enjoy my family and my blessings; looking at just how good I've got it. Best to you, my internet friend. I'm pullin' for ya'.

Well said, High Plains.

Cowhunter, we are all pulling and praying for you. You are truly an inspiration.

Hey most of all I thank u for your prayers. But I hope I'm not comein off as somebody that's fealin sorry for myself. I'm not. What it will be, will be. And I'm just razin a little about the bullcalfs. Please don't anybody take afence and loose any sleep.

It would be difficult to take offense to your good humor.

Also, I don't think that you have come across as feeling sorry for yourself. Quite the contrary, actually. You are a good sport and a fellow that is enjoying his life in the face of adversity. Good on ya'. Glad that you're on this site.

How the heck did you manage to get a picture of a calf throwing a shadow that looks just like a wobbly kneed Hay Maker after he's had a few pints?

Dandy looking calf, though.

I jumped out of my truck and took about 3 after I got him up from his nap and found him to be a bull. His mama was comein in a full trot bringin 3 more she was baby sittin. That shadow sure looks like a sideways cowboy with his head turnt. He's only the 4th calf out of the young bull. But he was only a yearlin when I put him with the cows. The older red bull has covered almost 65 cows and I bet at least 25 more comein.
