Saw all the nice pics everyone has posted lately and thought I'd share a few. After tonight they'll be last years oldies. Hope there aren't too many.

Awoke this morning and was treated to some pink
Could be a good day I was starting to think.

Frost on the trees, grass and all around,
Soon as it warms up we'll be back to brown.

Happy New Years!

Nice photos and rhyme Empty Pockets!

Psst...this week's photo contest is wildlife. Both dead and alive versions, I think...I bet you'd have an appropriate photo or two!

What happened to the sheep pictures? I miss seeing the little wooly boogers!

Happy New Year to you and yours...

New Year's Cheers---

TTB

Well done, EP.

I really enjoyed the pictures and the poem.

There is a fellow in Montana that has become rather famous for this type of thing. He has 3 or 4 books out that is photo and verse. His name is Mike Logan, and I think you can find him at www.rangewriter.org/mikelogan.htm

I didn't realize he was AWA Cowboy Poet of the Year!!

I think you will find his website very interesting. I am fortunate to know Mike and his work is terrific. He was a Spanish teacher in Helena and he has a slide show presentation where he uses the photography and the poem. He has a very rich voice and it is a great way to spend the evening. Plus, he tells interesting stories about some of the photos as he was shooting them pictures.

He has a great photo called "The Referee" that shows a bull elk in the timber watching 2 mule deer in a fight with their horns interlocked.

Anyway, EP, I what you posted here reminded me of Mike Logan and his work. Very nice job you did!!
