I guess I could have titled this a pair of peepers. :D

Great picture! Are they twins? Is there anything "cuter" than baby calves? And all that green grass! That picture should be entered in the photo contest.

Cute calves Red Robin...you're lucky to have green grass, just in time for St. Patrick's Day tomorrow.

You know RR, you should enter that pic in the Red Angus Magazine's photo contest. Winner gets a full page ad, FREE!!! On Faster Horses urging, I entered a pic last year, but didn't make the top three. So, I'll just have to try again this year!

Cheers---

TTB

Thanks for the compliments. They are just commercial calves but the heifer on the left is pretty fancy. Both of them are just short of a month old. Both calves are out of heifers and bred alike but not twins.

And the calf on the right ain't a heifer.

DANG!! I wonder if I was the only one here to have to scroll back to the pix to take a look!!!

Nice calves and it looks like nice weather. Where you are do they buyers prefer either reds or blacks? Here buyers tend to like a load of all blacks better. However I have friends in Canada and where they are reds are the ticket.

Thanks Nicky
CRM I beleive blacks of an average quality compared to Reds of an average quality will bring more in the lower weight classes . When the calves get heavy , I don't see any discount. As a matter of fact I believe they pay more for good quality regardless of the color at somewhere over 800lbs.
