Favourite smell?

Oh there are tons of stuff..

Puppy breath is a great smell, so are dogs feet when they smell kind of cheesy..

I love the smell of Bacon cooking and coffee brewing in the morning when I am sleeping. And I do't evend rink coffee. Steaks on the grill, Hickory wood burning, a summer rain... I could go on forever....

Pig manure is one of the worst smells I can imagine.

nope, neighbor has a boar stud...250 boars in one building.... then another one has a 400 dog puppy factory.... those 2 smells will kill you!!
I farrow to finished hogs for 20 years... and the boar stud makes me ill!

THe things that I like to smell:
Silage
Fresh cut hay
Ripened barley being harvested
Walkin into a barn with the cattle
Laundry hanging out on the line.

Pig manure isn't bad when you've been working with it for a while

But hospital smells?? Blech!! :gag:

Jigs.. Neighbor has 50k hogs in confinement at any one times.. And that number was before he bought the other confinement units this summer. He rents some ground from us and spreads manure... Does a better job than he used to but the first year we lived here he didn't inject it deep enough.. To make matters worse it was late October, and it was foggy with no wind every day and night for a week. To make matters even worse we got married that week and he spread the day of our wedding not 50 yards from our bedroom before coming to the wedding... Wasn't awful for us but we had a friend staying with us from Montana (Although she might have been down in bama by than with her husband, can't remember for sure)... poor girl stayed at our house while we went away for a couple nights... That stuff just burns...

Billy goat is nothing compared to pig manure..

sometimes the slight smell of Skunk is ok

Horses have a unique scent

and Sweat....sometimes it's nice to smell your own sweat......so many people don't ever do that I don't think (maybe cuz they don't work hard enough to sweat :D :-))

I like to smell animals....first thing i do when i get them in my hands is smell em.

the smell of working buffalo (buffalo sweat)

I've always been fond of Plumb blooms in a swale on an early Spring morning when the temperature in the swale is slightly cooler than above.

those are just a few that pop in my head this morning

i like the smell of:

1)dirt(call me weird but i like the smell of dirt)

2) our vet clinic

3)gasoline(momma always told me id be dumb if i kept smellin it, guess she was rite)

4) horses

5) riding arenas! love it!

A team standing in a tie stall on a cold day
The smell of freshly walked down trees, upturned dirt, and the Cat doin' the work all rolled into one.
Chinook wind.
The first diesel smoke from the feeding tractor on a -45 morning.
Ripe saskatoons on the bush.
The ocean. Don't know why, but I like it.

I like the smell of fresh dropped deer horn-it's impossible to describe but it's a wild smell. As for rank there's nothing worse than the equipment room of a Midget hockey team on a three day road trip-it really cuts down on parents partying when you make them drink in the equipment room so the boys can sleep lol. (old coaches trick #78) lol.

Everybody has already posted mine

Sagebrush is # 1. :D (I purposely drive through it in the pasture to get a good whiff of it)

my hubby

Fresh cut hay

horses

leather

puppy breath

and I do have one that no one had.... a mixture of diesel fuel and Wd40 .... it reminds me of my dad when I was young. Terrible smell if it didn't have a mental connection.

I just smelled a billy goat for the first time ever last Sunday... That was a terrible smell!!!
