We started feeding the February and March calvers a little this week. We are giving them 1 bale of oats hay, 1 bale of grass/clover hay, and 1 bale of sudan grass. This only comes to about 10 lbs a piece. They have lots of grass still standing in the pasture, but since we are on the third trimester and the weather changed, we decided to supplement them a little. Is everyone doing about the same?

Kinda like that, except ours are getting full rations. And they have been since the first of November :D

Still on pasture full-time here. But with the cold temps finally kicking in and the snow, it wont be long til we start forking hay to them.

I put out liquid protein in roller tanks and it seems to extend a bale quite a bit. The cows act satisfied and are in good condition.

Cows are all still grazing. Supplementing with cake, but no hay.

We have our bred heifers on Anipro liquid feeds on grass now. We will probably take them off of it after the tanks are empty this time and feed them oat and sorgum hay as the grass will start to run low in their pasture.

We could feed Anipro or cake to the cows, but we have ALOT of hay this year and it looks cheaper to feed as it is sitting in the stack compared to a protein source coming in on a feed truck.

We hauled all of our cows to grass 3 weeks ago that grass is gone now and were hauling them tomorrow back to another pasture will get about 10 days off that one then to some corn stalks should'nt have to feed until feb 1st. Only thing were feeding is replacements heifer calves a couple old cows and the bulls. Plus the sale bulls.

We were just rolling out alfalfa every other day for protein. Most of the cows are still on grass and some on stalks. But we have gotten alot of snow in the past 10 days so now we're feeding them pretty much a full ration. They really like the millet hay we put up this fall.
