FH- 100% Chance of RAIN

I see where the weather boys are predicting 60-70% chance of rain for both of us Fri- Sat-- even saying Saturday could be rain/sleet/snow with snow sticking over 3000 feet...The Canadian weather boys are saying 100% chance of rain for those days just north of the border....

I'll go with a 100% chance since my neighbor asked me today if I can ride and help him Saturday gather the cows off the pasture he needs to be off of by the 15th - and it takes about 6 miles of riding to get to the pasture before we even gather and start trailing back (another 6 miles)....Could be a long cold day... Better dig out my longjohns- don't even know where my slicker is, its been so long since I needed it :roll: .....
 
Don't want to rain on your parade OT (Well I would like rain) but i will beleive the 100% chance when I see it. Talked to my daughter out in Alberta and it had rained since last night. I talked to my friend near Saskatoon and they didn't have anything to day but Saskatoon did.
 
Mr. FH is going to help a neighbor also on Saturday. He decided he might
ride the 7-year old instead of the 4-year old because of the weather change. We'll have to dig around and find his warmer clothes too.
I hope we get enough moisture to make it worth it being miserable for
a day or two!!!

We hope you montananans are not near the wildfires- just heard this AM that the fires have doubled in size in MT :shock: :x :cry:

We came home from Miles City early evening yesterday and it was hazy.
We haven't had a whole lot of that this summer. Some, but not like
other places. It's pretty bad in some areas.

I don't know what fires popped up, but the one on Government Hill
east of Miles City did start again but they think they got it out.
I hope this weather change stops the fires and this is the end of it.

BMR,where does your daughter live??We've had pouring rain now for two straight days :?
 
We're into our second day of showery, drizzly, cold, windy nasty weather. Supposed to be like this all the way through Sunday. It could just move on now, to say ............ BMR's place!
 
They are still saying its supposed to start in with the rain tonite...We definitely need something to clear the air- the jet stream is now bringing all that smoke from south and west straight at us- makes breathing hard...I guess the hospital started having people with respiratory problems show up yesterday- but today even I can tell it.....Got up twice during the night to check around to see what was on fire- but it looks like its all coming in the wind....

Been bad enough with just the dust and the sage pollen in the air- but now the smoke....Lots of folks having problems with calves and dust pnuemonia....

She works for the town of Sylvan Lake. She the Economic Development and Communications Coordinator.
 
very little rain here,down to 60 last night(yes,I do have a blanket on the bed) the cats are starting to crawl under the covers now..
 
Seems like a lot of people having to gather cattle.. I have to go tomorrow to Ocanto, Nebraska and help a friend gather cows.. There is some grass but not enough to carry.. Gonna be intresting with a broken rib and this cornstalk cowboy trying to chase cows out of the hills. :wink:
 
I got a call at noon- the Judge called and had to take her husband to the hospital with some serious problems-He just found out earlier this week he has thyroid cancer, but now is having a major reaction to the pain medication :cry: ...She had 2 hearings scheduled that couldn't be postponed, so I quickly showered, shaved and went in to handle them for her...Kind of sounds like I may have to fill in for her quite regular in the weeks to come.....Good news is I had enough time to kill between hearings I finally figured out how to get on ranchers.net on the judges chamber computer :wink: :lol:

I was hoping when I walked out of the Courthouse at 5PM it would be raining, but no luck...But then I stopped at the waterhole to buy a lady friend a birthday drink- walked out at 7PM and there were enough raindrops coming down I had to turn on the wipers on the way home... :D See they issued a winter storm watch for ranchwifes area- actually for most areas southwest of Lewistown- predicting the possibility of 6-12 inches of snow :shock: September 15th is just a little too early to be talking snow....
 
Still raining and raining LOTS here....talked to my niece in Grand Prairie,they got snow,same with Banff and Jasper...yeck

BMR,your daughter isn't that far from us...small two hour drive. Greg and I spend a few days every summer in Sylvan. Shes kinda in the storm belt of Alta. though.

If a cat crawled under my covers he would learn to fly and I bet his landing would be rough.
 
steady drizzle all morning in billings and then about the time I left town, the skies opened up!!! came down so hard by the time I got to Laurel that traffic had come to a crawl....which is pretty bad on a montana interstate!! :shock: :shock: :shock: rained all the way home....including (and ESPECIALLY) between Laurel and Livingston, where those fires have taken their toll!!! YeeeeeHaaaaaaaw!!!! :D
