Ahhhh don't send it now...keep it for a while...I'll let it earn some interest.....maybe you can pay me one day with one of them fine colts you raise

I'll collect it and my cup of coffee in the same trip LOL

Price of hay, you better get here this fall when they are big enough to wean.

I got one filly that just might make a barrel horse for Little Lil.

Price would be waaaaayyyy cheaper than the frieght down there.

Tho' come to think of it, we've got some girls in this country and a boy or two who go down there for college. Or at least they used to. Probably could get one hauled to Ft Worth or there abouts. And I got a friend who winters over south of Ft Stockton. I hauled his mules and horses home in the spring of 03.

Yup. We just might have us a deal. :D

sounds like maybe a plan........South of Ft Stockton ya say??? That's some neat country down there. Kinda my old stompin grounds.

Pictures turned out great, impressive. I'd like to say the butt pic was the one that I liked the best but nope its the little boy...I have a soft spot for them grandson types :)

aint it amazing ,what used to be considered just a nother job of work is art.what a difference a little distance from the cowpens makes.joking aside, really nice pics i enjoy seeing the different gear and methods yall use working cows in your part of the country.

Nice job on the photo rework...
Not to get away from the topic of photos, but I have a question about the headstall rig on the horse that ST is riding (photo just before the ladies' favorite photo). Is that a bosalita (or an ST "special") & why is it set high on the horse's face? By that I mean is it ST's preference or does it work better on that particular horse at that spot?

And one more question, I do a little pencil drawing artwork & would yall mind if I used a couple of those photos for some drawings? It would be for my own personal use-nothing commercial.
Thanks

The Levi shot is interesting- all those designs but the one of (is that Chance? doesn't look quite like I remember him though fatherhood does age one!) in black and white plaid? With the "dark" expression it might be intriguing cropped down to just his face. Funny how the sepia and black and whites can add so much drama.

Rats- now Jinglebob you've given me another idea for how to fritter away time on the computer!!

Yup. He works pretty fair that way, tho' to tell the truth, he'd work about the same however it was hung. He is in the double bridle and ST just left the bridle off. The bosilito is adjusted higher so as to clear the mouth for the bit and still be comfortable for the horse.

Go ahead, but if you make any money off from them, you've got to share. :D

Yup, that would be Jr Jingles.

The original photo was very dark, so I just went to trying to lighten it up and this is what I came up with.

Ohh, more frittering projects! :D

Yup, got too many of them myself. Like spending time chatting on here!

Thanks for the explanation......

...a Tim Cox I'm not, so I doubt that that would happen
(but yall will get credit for the subject matter)

I'm slow to reply but not because I wasn't REALLY impressed --I am.
You did a great job "playing" with those photos JB --
what program were you using?

Like Flrooster said, I love looking at the photos seeing the geography of where each of you are --and the gear, and ranch ways of different places in the country. The more we are different the more we are alike. All you guys here done your part in making your part of the world a little closer than the map says you are!

!

I am just using Kodak, whatever came with the camera. I got to,looking around when I went to crop one and started finding things I could do. the only problem I see, is when I change the one, I lose what the old one looked like.

Oh welll, there are lots of them.

And please, doen't try to explain to me how to save the old ones. :x

Life is complicated enough as it is!

The good news is it ain't rocket science JB. Somewhere there should be a 'copy' function, and then you don't lose your original pic.

There must be a computer nerd somewhere in your family, JB, so maybe the family reunion won't be a total loss if they can show you the 'copy' feature.....

Mrs. Greg I'm afraid I aint nowhere near as good as that boy. Be kinda embarrassing to put my stuff on after lookin at his work. Besides, most any of mine that I thought was decent I donated to various fund raisers & benefits for auction. Maybe I'll try on the stuff JB was kind enough to allow me to use for subject matter.
Also, since you like that type of work, yall might want to look at Robert "Shoofly" Shufelt's work........great stuff! 8)
