All this food talk makes me think a Ranchers.net road trip is in order to visit all these great cooks. :cowboy: But it will halfto wait until after calving and haying ..........

Did the haying and calving ever get finished?

Dang I'm weaning now. :D

I did take a quick trip but Soapweed wasn't up to cooking. :D

There were still some grapes on the building back of the house on Saturday, so I picked about 6 gallon of white grapes and about a gallon of red grapes and 1/2 gallon of Concord grapes.
Got about 2 gallon of juice, probably will save some as juice to drink, (needs to be diluted to drink).

Found a few jelly jars so I made some jelly tonight.

You're making wine.

I just might make some wine.
Last night it was showing signs of fermenting, although I had cooked the juice. Must have got some yeast from the grapes in there somehow. I put it in different jugs and into the refrigerator to slow it down.
If I was going to make jelly I had to do it before it turned to wine.

It would make good Baptist wine now!

I think that I have a gallon jug of wine on a shelf in the basement. I don't know if it got better or worse over time.
